He also reported that so far, Dave Fey has accumulated $400,000.00 in grant money for the Fairfield Co. parks.
No Treasurer’s Report
No PR report
Nothing new to report on Grant Status
Lancaster Trail- J. Vandervoort reported that the materials for the bridge approaches should be arriving soon. There is also curb cuts and curb replacements in the Franklin St. area.
Amanda Trail- J. Vandervoort will try one more time to get with Mark Bibler, the Midwest attorney, to move this forward. He will also talk to J. Barrett to see if he can move this along.
No new info from the grant writing group in Amanda on their progress to secure a grant for the trail portion in that city.
Nothing new on the Interurban.
Fox Trail- Larry Smith was not in attendance for a report. There was discussion that there needs to be signage along the portion by Talmadge School; that the trail is used by walkers, bicyclists, and others, and isn’t for cars. There was also quite a congestion of spectators in chairs clogging the trail during the softball tournament that was going on at the school. For safety, it was felt that several signs needed to be posted and some bollards placed at the intersection of the trail and the adjacent road to discourage cars.
Future rides:- The next ride is to be on the Chillicothe trail on July 23rd at 10:30am. More details will be sent via e-mail and the web site.
County map- B. Williams still working on this.
McCleery Bridge: See Lancaster Trail notes
Phone Tree: Claude and Anna Ford are continuing to post signs and make calls for meetings.
Healthy and Smart Dev.- The group will supply her with a letter of support so she can use it for future needs; such as funding to continue her program.
