Response letter from ODOT

Bob Williams will send a response letter to ODOT, with copies to Tim Schaffer, Jay Hottinger, and Annemarie Kuhn on October 11.

ODNR

A grant for $130,000 has been awarded to the group with the stipulation that we guarantee building 1 1/2 miles of trail. The City of Lancaster is very supportive and has committed to pricing the needed asphalt with the city order, allowing the group to share a better price. The Parks Department will support the effort. The proposed trail section is 2 1/2 miles long. ODNR will approach ODOT to sign off on the trail. Plan calls for a branch to Lanreco Park onto a parallel with Goslin Park to Vanity Cleaners on Main Street. Dave Bogear wants to open the back entrance to Rising Park and connect this with the trail. Matching funds needed are $26,000 with possibilities from other public agencies providing the bulk of this. Jeff Vandervoort indicated that City and Parks Department will both be active in locating funding.

Raffle

Winners of the raffle were selected. Phil Walker won the scooter. Jarred Cole and Tyler Cole, both of 717 Mulberry Street, won the two bike helmets.

Other

Pam Patula has new t-shirts for sale. Pam and Bob Williams made Fairfield Co. Historical Parks road signs available to the group.
