TrailLink 2005 - Program Tracks: Which should I attend?

Policy and Legal — Gain insights into the latest federal, state and local policies and legal issues. Topics will include funding, liability, railbanking, lobbying, TEA-21 reauthorization and much more.
Making the Case — Arm yourself with evidence of the many benefits of trails and greenways, and learn what it takes to pitch a trail project to local decision makers, interest groups and even opponents.
Linking with Health — Explore some of the best federal, state and local programs and partnerships that address the construction and use of trails and greenways from the perspective of physical activity and public health. This track will also feature the latest research on the link between trail development and health.
Regional Systems — Examine the particular challenges and rewards of creating regional trail and greenway systems. This burgeoning topic will cover recent examples of ways to organize, fund and manage regional systems, including making connections to transit.
Design and Management — Great trails require thoughtful and creative input from conception through construction, and eventually operation. Sessions will convey innovative design, construction, management and promotion techniques.
